CAE Rive-Nord: Investing in our Communities

A Year of Building Strong Partnerships!

During its Annual General Meeting on September 25, CAE Rive-Nord proudly showcased its achievements for the 2023-2024 year. Once again this year, the three core areas—local economic development, support, and financing—were successfully implemented. Through its local development initiatives, CAE takes pride in its numerous actions benefiting the community.

Local economic development, enriching our communities

In 2023-2024, CAE sustained and even expanded its efforts to promote awareness of its local economic development mandate. This has resulted in numerous partnerships and collaborations to enrich communities and meet their challenges.

  • Local economic development

In addition to maintaining a strong team presence within the community, over $57,000 was invested in 22 local projects, including: Saint-Jérôme Branché, la Petite séduction d’infirmières internationales in Argenteuil, Drawing Inspiration for Development with Dominic Brown, founder of Chocolats Favoris, a Market Study for the Fab Lab Synerlab in Lachute, the “Happy Employees” initiative; a key to success, the Propulsion Workforce Symposium, and le Grand rendez-vous entrepreneurial des Laurentides (GREL).

  • Virage Vert, a programme designed to accelerate sustainable development

CAE awarded over $73,000 in non-repayable contributions to 7 projects to help businesses improve their environmental and economic performance. CAE is especially proud of its plastic recovery project, which diverted 5 tonnes of plastic from landfills in its area alone, and more than 20 tonnes for the entire Laurentian area.

Support and financing to help businesses grow

  • Support and training

More than 2,800 hours of support from CAE, 468 hours of group training for 162 companies, and 32 hours of support from an external consultant.

  • Financing

More than $250,000 invested in local businesses through various funds, including $50,000 toward a strategy targeting youths.

A Board of Directors and a dedicated team

CAE Rive-Nord counts on a highly committed Board of Directors and team who have the interests of the organization and its communities at heart. They are also very enthusiastic about the renewal of the funding agreement between Canada Economic Development (CED) and the Réseau des SADC-CAE, and are more than ready to get involved in the organization’s ongoing success. The coming years are crucial for CAE Rive-Nord, as the team works diligently to ensure that its three core business areas continue to thrive. CAE will continue to build on its success, and every effort will be made to continue enriching our communities.
